Divisions & Age Groups

Open Division

- 9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,18u
- Largest division
- 18u is a wood bat division
- Typically least amount of travel
- 1st year teams placed in Open Division
- Open Divisions always announced shortly before
League Meeting

Super Division

- 10,11,12,13,14u
- Increased level of play
- Veteran & accomplished AAU teams
- Smaller than Open Division
- Typically more travel than Open Division
- First year teams can request to be placed in the Super Division
- Request to be placed in the 2019 Super Division >
- Super Divisions to become available by February 18, 2019
- Are you a new club? MUST fill our New Club Questionnaire >

Diamond Division

- 11,12,13,14u
- Highest level of play
- Veteran & accomplished AAU teams
- Smallest Division
- Typically the most travel
- First year teams can request to be placed in the Diamond Division* (very rare)
- Request to be placed in the 2019 Diamond Division >

How to Advance to Super Division

Teams can qualify for Super Division placement in several ways:

  • Win your Open Division the previous season
  • Win your Open Division League Playoffs the previous season
  • If above does not apply, a special request can be submitted

How to Advance to Diamond Division

Teams can qualify for Diamond Division placement in several ways:

  • Must have played in NEAAU League for at least (1) year
  • Win your Super Division the previous season
  • Win your Super Division League Playoffs the previous season
  • If above does not apply, a special request can be submitted

Which Teams Could be Dropped to Lower Division

  • All teams with less than a .500 winning percentage
  • All teams that do not complete their Divisional Schedules
  • Any team that forfeits Divisional or Playoff games

*If a team is removed from a division for any of these reasons, it does not mean they cannot be placed back in the same division by the NEAAU Baseball Committee.

*If a team changes their name they should notify the Baseball Committee to ensure proper divisional placement.
